From loving a flower for its fragrance to loving it more than its beauty. Isn't it call "True Love?".

I am not a certified gardener neither I have taken course in botany to give you a lecture on plants or gardening. I am just here to speak about the love of planting as a passion, a lover who adorns and simply admire sharing thoughts about how she feels about them.

So let's go.

So like many, the habit of gardening or planting either come to us at a very young, teenage stage or when we are in our prime during our crisis being and adult. We are either influenced by our subjects and assignments given by the science teachers to grow and experiment with plants, or it comes to us as being influenced by our parents, guardians, cousins, or someone you love and admire, some people may also adapt this habit of gardening when they are someone who we simply can called a nature lover. I am sure there are many reasons, i am just stating a new. But do let me know in the comment what kind of flowers/plants you love, have you planted any? And what was your story behind starting planting/ gardening?

So I have been in and around garden, farming, planting trees, flowers, fruits vegetables for such a long time. I loved flowers since I was barely a kid of 4-5 years old and I just begun to know what flower is. But i never had that urge to plant or do gardening, rather I started to pluck the most beautiful flowers and give it to my class teachers, just to prove that ma'am/ sir I have the most beautiful and luxurious flower garden in the town, trust me if I say this i have been given flowers to my class teachers since I was 4 years old till 18 ! But with age my perspective of giving flowers changed from proving a point to the teachers and the students to, understanding more about flowers, its symbology, the colour meaning, why a flower cannot bloom in all season and only in specific ones, why some bloom only at night and some only in day time. So like wise when I grew from a kid to teenager and planned myself to help my family in gardening on my weekends, it actually pays off till date. My home was situated in the beautiful hills of nilachal, Assam, India, so hilly area ofcourse, we didn't had alot of land, but enough land to grow trees, fruits, vegetables, flowers and even raise chicken. The soil of the hilly was top notch, I have never seen any soil where you just plant anything and it literally grows, yes not bragging, its the truth, ofcourse I cannot plant something which is not suitable for its climate and territory but man oh man ! Sometimes I eat oranges/tangerine and spit out the seeds, that actually grows into a sampling, now if I don't take care of it ofcourse it will die but you get my point right ? Reader ? So just like that my first love interest was flowers, because of its colour, shape, fragrance, to be specific I loved flowers who has fragrance of them rather then the ones who don't, well that was my point of view when I was a teenager, don't judge me yet ? Reader ! As time pass and my love for cooking took over as a  passion and compassion to express my care and emotion for someone I really loved, I started kitchen gardening. Just as i entered adulthood, I don't know what happen to me i became a freak for plants. When I started living alone away from home for my studies and work, I started creating my balcony gardens. Few things in my garden were must without any question, that is -  Tulsi/basil, alovera, spring onions leaf, sage/ rosemary, lemon tree, from flower section - anything that is white, red, pink, yellow was fine for me because of my prayer offerings to my Almighty. And then came a man who was the main gardener of my university hostel garden/plantation. I have learned so much from that man, i still thank him till date. He taught me what plants can be planted near by each other so that nobody harm eachother rather help themselves in growing, how to cure the leaves, how to get rid of bugs from the plant, what to mix with the soil for getting the most healthy plant, what to do during different seasons to protect your plants who are not meant to survive during those periods, how to give the plants medicine, how to trim them, how to remove the plant and replace them in new environment etc etc,. For me he was genius and no less than any teacher who have taught me so many great things in life. He broke many stereotypical thoughts from my mind and I embraced my love for planting and gardening more and more. Trust me again if I say this, I had the most amazing balcony in my hostel and my room being in the third and last floor of the hostel and the first one to begin with was famous because of the garden, every season be it harsh summer or winter there were green plants in my balcony with flowers, literally nobody knew or saw me but everyone whoever goes out for walks after dinner come to my room just to check my balcony and they simply assume that I am from botany department. When I use to go for walks around our hostel and near by my room, when I hear people gossiping about my room's balcony, man ! It feels like I have own some greatest award and I actually feel like a celebrity. Don't get me wrong, but I deserve these compliments for making my garden look more glorious than my career. I didn't know when the fever of research before planting came on to me, but it did. Now I love to know about my plants little more before i bring them home, now more than fragrance, its health benefits for me and the environment i am in matters the most. No doubt I love flowers with fragrance still, but with maturity you realise there's more to a flower then just limiting it to its beauty and fragrance. I am not a botanist, I am just a girl who love flowers not because they are pretty but because it's meaning and history.

P. S (nobody asked for but I am still providing) - plant your Tomatoes with basil/tulsi, plant your brocolli or cauliflower with sage/thymes, plant spring onions with root vegetables, plant orchids in coconut trees or any tree, because wild orchids bloom the best on trees, marigold and nasturtiums goes very well together, plants like mint, basil, sage, thymes lavender, rosemary can be planted near by your fruits, flowers plants for keeping the bad bugs away and they don't take excessive water or nutrition from its neighbouring plants but see that the plants you plant near them doesn't eat these herbs up. So with this, you can try planting it. This is a total self experienced note I am sharing here, if it doesn't help or doens't work for you, please do not curse me for it, because it worked for me doesn't mean it has to work for everyone. There are still many new ways you can research, learn, make mistakes and do it correctly next time for your planting and gardening journey.

Happy gardening Guys. Always remember to love your plants more than its beauty and fragrance okay ? And I wish and hope that out of those many blooms, you find your own personally made for you flower/plant.
